How accurate is the calculator?
It uses typical power ratings and usage. If you adjust hours and the price per kWh from your bill, the result is close to reality. Only the meter is exact.
Which price per kWh should I enter?
The all-in price including network charges and taxes: divide the yearly bill by yearly consumption in kWh.
What uses the most electricity at home?
Usually hot water and heating if electric, then the fridge-freezer, tumble dryer, cooking and, increasingly, EV charging.
How do I reduce consumption?
Replace old high-consumption appliances, use off-peak tariffs where available, run the dryer less and watch standby. And compare supplier prices.
