How much does a home solar system generate?
Roughly 1000 kWh per year per installed kWp with a good roof orientation. North-facing or shaded roofs generate less.
What is a typical payback?
Most often 7โ12 years depending on installation price, subsidy, self-consumption share and electricity price. A battery usually lengthens payback but raises self-sufficiency.
What is self-consumption and why does it matter?
The share of generated electricity you use yourself. You save the full tariff price on it, while exports earn only a fraction. Without a battery it is 25โ40 %, with one 60โ70 %.
Is a dynamic (spot) tariff worth it with solar?
Often yes: you sell surplus at spot prices and shift purchases into cheap hours. It carries risk in winter peaks.
